Glass pyramid house in Hawaii can be yours for only $120K

This glasshouse is bathed in sunshine, but don’t expect to bathe indoors.

Located in Pāhoa on the Big Island, next to Hawaii’s Volcanoes National Park, a modern architectural and futuristic haven pegged as the “Pyramid Home” has hit the market for only $120,000.

Made of double-glazed glass walls, the interior studio spans 356 square feet, with panoramic nature views and light that shines through every side.

Features of the Pyramid Home include a solar panel system to provide off-grid power and a covered sitting and BBQ space, according to the listing.

But as for the bathrooms, that’s just the great outdoors.

Rather than a traditional bath, the property offers an outside rock enclosure for the sink/toilet/bath area.

The small getaway escape space has gone full green and lights up via LED, with the internet coming through a Hawaiian Telcom.

“Neighbors have small farmettes and grow bananas, citrus, bamboo, tea (Camellia sinensis) and a variety of garden veggies,” the listing states.

Newly built in 2019, the glasshouse is tucked in the Royal Hawaiian Estates neighborhood. The community offers a side of Hawaii worlds apart from the tourist-heavy destinations of Waikiki or Lahaina, according to Realtor.com.

The pyramid sits on a quarter-acre lot, which means the owner has plenty of space to build a larger home, and perhaps use the glass structure as a guest house.

JJ Jasinski of Keller Williams Realty Maui-Ka is handling the listing.
